Europe Day

The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong was invited to celebrate Europe Day on 9 May, marking the 75th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration. The event took place at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum, attended by notable figures including Mr Paul Chan and Mr Li Yongsheng.

Ambassador Mr Harvey Rouse, Head of the EU Office to Hong Kong and Macao, emphasised the strong relationship between the EU and Hong Kong, highlighting the EU’s trade partnership worth over HK$588 billion. He noted that EU nationals play a crucial role in various sectors in Hong Kong and pledged to enhance cooperation while maintaining the region’s unique, open society.

Guests enjoyed European culinary diversity at booths from EU Member States and Chambers of Commerce, with over 300 attendees from government, business and civil society present.

We would like to express our gratitude to the European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao for this opportunity.
